About the School

This international high school in Suzhou is the sixth school to join the this prestigious family of schools. The school is made up of approximately 670 students from age 14 to age 19, with over six different nationalities represented in theirdiverse student body.

The new school building is on the shared campus with​ ​their sister school. Through co-curricular activities, competitions and social functions, their students have many opportunities to meet international students and learn about different cultures.

The site provides students with an excellent environment for learning and access to a wide range of educational resources. It is more than four times the size of the original campus.. The new purpose-built building offers 16,959 square metres of space. Each room is equipped with smart technology, as well as central air and filtration systems. The 56 classrooms include custom designed science labs, a library, a black box theatre, music practice rooms, sport fields, a roof garden, and a medical centre.

With students from eight provinces and administrative regions across China,​ ​they offer on-campus boarding to students in a shared facility with​ ​their sister school. The Boarding House provides accommodation for over 75% of the students, with shared social areas available to them for studying and entertainment. A medical centre is located on the first floor of the facility, along with the boarding parents’ apartment.

Boarding parents live full-time in the facility and not only help to supervise the boarding students during the week, but also to provide weekend activities for term boarders. The live-in boarding staff consists of eleven employees, including the boarding parents, the Chinese boarding manager, and eight boarding tutors.

The school delivers a rigorous academic programme but believes that successful students are not defined solely by their attainment in tests and exams.Their programme of study allows students to maintain breadth as well as depth, as they prepare students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and A-Level examinations. These qualifications gain students entry to some of the world’s most prestigious universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, Ivy League universities in the US and top institutions in Hong Kong.
