International schools want more teachers! Find your new role at TIC’s Virtual Recruitment Fair!
Yesterday, the TES published an article written by international school Headteacher, Mark Steed about the teacher recruitment crisis in the UK, and worldwide. The article discussed how increasingly difficult it is for schools to find qualified British teachers. As a result, they are in great demand. This is especially the case in international schools, which value UK-trained teachers highly.
Are you interested in teaching overseas?
Teaching overseas has never been a more attractive option and roughly 15,000 teachers are leaving the UK each year for opportunities at international schools abroad. Not only can it sometimes provide significant financial benefits as Mark Steed highlights, but moving to an international school is also considered to be particularly valuable for personal and professional development.
Who is recruiting?
More and more international schools are increasing their recruitment. This is partly because the number of British curriculum schools overseas is expanding. Within the next five years, ISC Research estimates that international schools will need to recruit 181,000 more staff, and 429,000 in the next ten years so opportunities for qualified teachers with some experience of reputable curricula (like the National Curriculum of England, International Baccalaureate, or American Curriculum) are extensive.
How can you find a suitable teaching position at an international school? There has never been a better time to look for a teaching job overseas. And we’ve made it easy to start your international job search right now. Next week TIC is hosting a Virtual Networking event. The fair will run between 19th-25th November, and it’s not too late to sign up!
Why attend TIC’s Virtual Networking event?
It’s easy, it’s simple, and it’s completely free for teachers. Simply create a profile and log-in when you like, from the comfort of your own home. Reputable international schools from across the world will be attending the virtual networking event, all looking to meet teachers in preparation for their recruitment campaigns. At the networking event, you’ll be able to virtually visit the booths of many schools, chat online with school representatives, and upload your CV. You’ll have the chance to ask questions and seek advice from the recruitment experts at TIC too. They will be able to guide you through the entire networking experience.
