The British School Al Khubairat, Abu Dhabi The British School Al Khubairat, Abu Dhabi

This British international is the Embassy School in the UAE and Abu Dhabi’s leading British, not-for-profit, co-educational day school. From Nursery to Sixth Form, their award-winning dynamic school culture offers students an enriching experience and outstanding results.

The school was founded in 1968 and generously supported by the late President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, through the donation of land and Amiri Decree No. 5 of 1971. The School is under the ongoing patronage of the British Ambassador and is sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the current President of the United Arab Emirates. They are immensely proud of these historic links, and today their long-standing reputation and heritage continue to shape their ethos, as they celebrate over 50 years of exceeding expectations.

The school provides a full and broad education fit for the modern world, and their mission is to nurture a genuine passion for learning, through world-class teachers, trusted leadership and dedicated support staff.

The school has been rated Outstanding across all performance standards in both their local Government Agency inspection (ADEK) and that of British Schools Overseas (BSO); and in 2021 they were awarded Best School for Post-16 Education in the Schools Compared, Top School Awards for the second time in a row and Best School for Art and Creative Studio work. They are also the first school outside of the UK to receive the Carnegie Gold Award for Mental Health.
