About the School
This academy is a co-educational academy on Geoje Island, South Korea. They provide an outstanding quality of education and care in a small class setting which ensures that every child receives ample support for their learning. Their international programmes are delivered by highly qualified teachers who are dedicated to providing the best education for all learners.
The school is a Candidate School for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (3 to 11 years old), and the IB Middle Years Programme (11 to 15 years old). They also have a French Programme providing the CNED for all age groups, which means that the school is the only academic institution in Korea with dual track programmes delivered in English or French.
Accreditation
The school is also authorised by the French Ministry of Education to offer the CNED programme and is an internationally accredited education institution on Geoje Island by achieving WASC accreditation. The school is also registered academy by the Korean Ministry of Education and is also 'candidate school' for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme.
Facilities
The school is located in Deokpo in a beautiful rural location about 5 minutes drive from Okpo. The school and sports ground are surrounded by fields and mountains and a stream runs nearby. They also have easy access to Deokpo beach. Their location is a great benefit for learning, particularly for science and geography, and we take children out to explore and observe nature whenever possible.
Classrooms are light, modern and comfortable in all seasons. Safety is important to them and all classrooms are very quick and easy to exit in the event of emergency.
The school is also currently developing a new facility for Primary & Middle Years classes from Nursery through to Year 10 (Up to 14 years old). They will also be expanding the international programme through to Year 13 and university entry and are preparing to introduce the IBDP.
