About the School
This school which is situated in Kazakhstan, opened its doors in 2008 with a vision of creating a British curriculum school on the model of its sister school in the UK. Now firmly established, the school offers a broad, liberal education in the best traditions of British independent schooling. It caters to the needs of both local and international children. The school has an impressive state of the art building.
Curriculum
The school follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales, which is adapted to the local context and offers British style examinations. In August 2011 it opened a Sixth Form and pupils are now being prepared for Advanced levels (AS levels and A2s) and entry to overseas universities. Pupils also study for the IELTS certificate, which is now required by many overseas universities.
Students are encouraged to explore both academic and non-academic disciplines and to foster success in whichever area an individual pupil's talents may lie. The school offer their pupils a large selection of Extra Curricular Activities including sports, academic and art clubs.
Students
There are 550 students at the school right now with no more than 22 in a class. Most classrooms have promethean white boards and the school are proud to offer brilliant facilities to pupils.
