Harrow International School, Shanghai offers a range of excellent facilities and resources that includes; roof top gardens, solar panel heating, sport’s halls, a 25m training pool and a split level library. But a school will have little value if it does not have outstanding teachers to form a strong learning community, helping each and every student progress to achieve their maximum potential.

A letter from the Head of Lower School, Paul Cunningham

At Harrow International Shanghai we are looking for outstanding teachers who will motivate and inspire our high attaining pupils. Teachers will be expected to grasp the opportunity of working for a school with a world-wide reputation, delivering the highest quality of education to our diverse International learners. In the 21st century educational environment, that is Harrow, teachers joining us will be expected to set the very best academic standards whilst strongly embracing the rich tradition and history of Harrow UK.

We are looking for outstanding teachers with an appropriate level of experience and expertise, able to offer comprehensive subject knowledge and inspire our already well-motivated students in creative and exciting ways. They will be strongly supported throughout their time at the school ensuring they make the most of this wonderful teaching experience. Teachers will enjoy well-resourced classrooms, low student teacher ratios, brand new and tailor-made facilities, and a range of opportunities for further professional training and development. They will also be able to draw upon the support networks available through our sister schools in Bangkok, Beijing and Hong Kong. I believe Harrow International School Shanghai offers a marvellous opportunity for teachers to enhance their career.

The School is situated in the fast developing area of Waigaoqiao which is in the free trade zone, north of the city. Over the next three years this will become one of the most attractive areas in the city with new shopping malls, restaurants, residential accommodation and a range of sport’s facilities including a lake, golf driving range, sailing lake, equestrian centre and rugby club with clubrooms already operating. Our school will be a focal point in this exciting new area of Shanghai.

Please read all the available literature on Harrow International School Shanghai. If you feel you meet our person specifications and have a spirit of adventure, high personal and professional standards and can contribute to the development of our school then I look forward to reading your application.

Best Wishes

Paul Cunningham
