This is the 2nd year we have been working with the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) and so far have managed to secure 44 teachers a place at schools in major cities such as Astana, Uralsk, Semey, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taldykorgan, Shymkent, Karaganda, Taraz and Aktobe.

We have been provided with positive feedback and great pictures from our teachers, see below:

“Teaching in Kazakhstan is fun. The NIS schools have adequate facilities. Every classroom has a smart board, a computer and a multi-purpose printer. The classes are small, about 12-15 students a class. They even have Media rooms which are equipped with modern electronic technology. Looks like broadcasting houses. The local teachers are also very supportive.” David, Mathematics, Aktobe City.

“The staff are very supportive and I hope to stay there for another 3-4 years.” Debo, Physics, Uralsk.

“I am really settling in well at NIS. The children are wonderful, the staff are very supportive and lovely to the international staff. Everything is going on well and I am just enjoying my new role at NIS Uralsk.” Ismail, Mathematics, Uralsk.

“I am continuing to learn, grow, and teach here. My department is amazing and I am really enjoying the children.” Sabrina, English, Taraz.

“We have settled in well thanks. The staff at the school have been very helpful. We are just getting into the swing of things and most importantly the students are amazing, pleasure to be working with them” Amit and Tanya, ICT and Chemistry teaching couple, Shymkent
